New Delhi, Apr 3 : The Question Hour in Lok Sabha was a washout on Tuesday again as the House had to be adjourned within minutes of meeting, till 1200 hrs over the uproar caused by AIADMK members over the Cauvery Water issue.
As soon as the House met for the day, the AIADMK members trooped into the Well raising slogans and ventilating their demand for immediate setting up of Cauvery Water Management Board.
Speaker Sumitra Mahajan started with the listed questions but as the agitating AIADMK members raised slogans and continued to create ruckus, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings of the House till noon.
AIADMK members raised slogans, “we want justice” and “we want Cauvery Board’ and some of the party MPs were seen in black T-shirts in the Well.
Telugu Desam Party members were on their feet, with placards demanding Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh.
As there was no improvement in the situation, the Speaker adjourned the House till 1200 hrs.
Both the Houses of Parliament have failed to transact any major business since the beginning of the
second part of the Budget session of Parliament on March 5.
