Madhya Pradesh Public Works and Environment Minister Sajjan Singh Verma averred on Monday that the state’s Kamal Nath dispensation would complete its five-year tenure and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders’ designs would not succeed.
“In the 230-member House, the government enjoys support of 121 legislators. (BJP Vice President and erstwhile chief minister) Shivraj Singh Chouhan, (BJP General Secretary) Kailash Vijayvargiya, (the Assembly’s Leader of the Opposition) Gopal Bhargava and (former minister) Narottam Mishra are dreaming of coming to power. Home Minister Bala Bachchan should be bestowed presidentship of the Congress’ state unit,” the politician said during an interaction with the press here.

Raining fire on the Centre’s saffron-led regime, Mr Verma alleged that issues such as the “(Ram) temple” are remembered by the BJP only during elections.

Jhabua is likely to witness a Vidhan Sabha by-poll in the near future.
